On the edge of time. The Majestic Way.

In one very hot afternoon, after some long days of worries and doubts, when I've decided to let go and enjoy life a little more, I've stepped into a Universe of flowers, oriental charm, and music. Soft, blessed music for my soul.

When you are unsettled, two days can seem very little. But when you smile and feel like you're on a holiday, two days are more than enough to show you the good life. The life that matters!

So, the first image I saw was... the sky reflected in my table. All those wonderful clouds running through my room, leaving the sky clear and opened for negotiation. And there, in that moment, I've asked myself: "What if everything I ever wished is possible?"

And it is. It is!

These are moments of my life at the wonderful Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur. Read more on my HuffPost blog

Penang, a love story

I've managed to avoid Penang a lot in the last years and I don't know why. Now, after our journey on the island, I can tell you this: it's worth a visit! Let me take your hand and show you my Penang and the things I fell in love with.

1. I loved this breathtaking view from my room at the Eastern & Oriental Hotel! I've spent two blessed mornings here, watching the sunrise.

2. This room is the dream of every traveler!

3. The 5 o'clock tea. They offer delicious finger-food and a free flow of wine, beer, and spirits. Tea and coffee too, of course. :)

4. The magical nights at the pool, with hot tropical rain and lightning bolts as a beautiful background.

5. The old charming atmosphere of the hotel, full of history and rich in details. I've received a very, very appreciated gift: a cookbook with Penang recipes. Thank you!

6. Gorge Town is magnificent, and I love the new part of the town, with towers, large streets, flowers and the salty air.

7. Relaxing in a hammock at the seaside. This was at the Batu Ferringhi beach resort, in the magical garden of Lone Pine Hotel.

8. The traditional Malay food. My favorite food in the world. I actually travel with the Rendang mixture in my backpack, for the times when I will have to cook something.

9. White rooms with big beds, a bathtub on my balcony and a garden with sea view? Yes, please!

10. This is the entrance in the Lone Pine Universe. No words, just awe.

11. The last night in here, I was a little bored and worried about the future. Then, I've seen some fire in the garden and went down in a hurry to find this! Blue, magical water, healing fire, starry sky, sea scent, and the trees in full blossom. Just like a fairytale.

12. When you're on the road and have the privilege to see so many beautiful places, every detail matters. Thank you, Penang, for having us!

Lost and found

I was a little bit lost when I was heading to Penang. You know that feeling of being under pressure, overwhelmed, stressed out and don't know what's next. So, I was looking for something to make me smile again and a place where to find my peace.

Campbell House looked just right. A boutique hotel, in the center of George Town, with beautiful rooms and kind people.

But when I opened the door of this amazing house, I found much, much more.

Let me tell you my reasons why I would forever choose Campbell House Penang:

1. The beds. I know, it's lame. But these were the best beds of my life. Comfy, soft, perfectly balanced. I felt all my body spoiled and refreshed.

2. The food. Penang is one of the best food destinations in SE Asia. If everybody says so, maybe it is. I don't know. Because the perfect Italian food from Il Bacaro was more than enough for us.

3. The barefoot journey. Yes, when in Campbell House, you have to walk barefoot. The wooden floors, the carpets, the stairs are tailored for your comfort and pleasure. And I've felt grounded and alive and living in the moment.

4. The terrace. This little piece of heaven, on the roof of Campbell House, gave me tremendous peace and confidence. I was there, at every sunrise, at every sunset, listening to the noises of the city, feeling home.

5. The books and movies were amazing! I read about food and restaurants, and we've watched some old movies on our DVD. The best time for ourselves.

6. The people. Kind, generous, good, inspiring. Nothing too pushy or too "official". Just great conversations, a lot of smiles and mind & soul comfort.

7. In this place, you will feel like a princess: gorgeous different rooms, Italian food (so, so good!), movies and ice tea.

After 3 days at the Campbell House Penang, I was refreshed and ready for new adventures. And I have to get back to try the other rooms, of course!
